Madison Claire (Wilson) Rushing was born and raised in Jackson Mississippi. With Joy Stewart McAllister as her mother and primary art influence, Madison was very exposed to art from very early on. Madison practiced almost every art form there was, but while she attended Jackson Preparatory School she found painting to be her one true love. She took lessons and studied under Jackson artist Julie McCartney, and won several Scholastic awards her senior year including: Gold Key for an individual painting, Gold Key for her overall portfolio, and Silver Key for an individual painting. Madison also recieved a scholarship to Mississippi State University for her work. Madison has had one of her paintings hung in a New York Gallery, and currently shows most of her work in her mother's store, Joy McAllister Art, and in the homes of many around the country.

Madison married Ira Rushing in May of 2009, and currently lives in Greenville, North Carolina with their puppy Rosie Posie and cat Leroy Brown.
